The facility is part of the Laboratory of Genetic, Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders.

Laboratory tests:

Shipping and Handling samples:
From each person, 2x 10 ml of venous blood should be sampled in EDTA or heparinized tubes. The samples should be sent to the address below by regular mail at room temperature. Carrier services should be used if shipment by regular mail is expected to take longer than 5 days. Biopsy material (muscle, skin, etc) for the purpose of DNA analysis should be sent deeply frozen. Reporting of results:
A final report is sent out as soon as all the testresults have been obtained. This is routinely within 3 months from the date of receipt of the request form with material.

Billing:
In accordance with the Dutch regulations for DNA diagnosis the costs are 669 Euro per analysed sample. People who are in any way unable to cover these expenses are requested to contact the secretary in advance of sending material.
